I have a polytech M1A in a GI stock that is giving me issues. The oprod spring guide keeps coming unlatched from the connector lock (I believe it's called). It looks like the side plates inside the stock are supposed to keep the latch well latched, but it's not even close to holding the latch shut. Any advise would be appreciated, thank you in advance.

I think that is a common problem when using a US GI stock on the Chinese M14 clones. Most people just shim the stock next to the pin to keep it from moving.

Thank you for the web address red_zr24x4, I will check it out. A whole pop sickle stick wow, I wouldn't have thought it was that far off. I always heard good things about their M1A's and their 1911's from back when so I took a chance on one. I can't be too upset, pop sickle sticks are cheap. Thanks jinks and maxipum!
