    USS San Francisco memorial and Land's End Park
    Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park
    Monterey Bay Aquarium - mostly to see the jellies
    Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park
    Drove down the PCH to see sea cliffs and elephant seals
    SLO and Arroyo Grande to see daughter Kimberly and partner Nick R
    Climbing Gym!
    Pinnacles National Park
    Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park
    Mt. Madonna County Park

    Things we saw:
    Condors
    Rattlesnake
    Horned lizard and fence lizards
    Steller's Jays
    Acorn woodpeckers
    Mule deer

    Beautiful! Our grandsons' adoptive parents (long story) live in Hollister, CA, just inland from Monterey Bay and they have been taking them on trips up that way.

    Well, at the time I worked at a place that dealt with a lot of highly susceptible/immunocompromised people... some could not even get the flu shot for risk of death. So I limited my activities to protect them. On top of that, I have a kiddo at home who I was worried about as well (she has CP and we were not sure about risk factors at the time).

    In the country, hopefully.
    I've done 3 portions of it but never the whole thing. Couple of buddies are wanting to do the whole thing over a 4 day period this October and want me to join them.

    Here’s a great write up of the Knobstone, and a chart showing actually how much elevation change there is. Not big changes, but changes all day long.
    A buddy and I did 44 miles south to north in 2016.
    Want to get back out there.
