These is the kind of places I want to visit when I get done building my Jeep.
There are many, many places like this in our country. My wife and I have talked about buying an RV, so that we can travel and visit these places when she retires in a couple of years.

I happened to take our youngest daughter to Colorado just a couple of months ago.
So much to see out West, been taking a Jeep out there for a decade. Good Jeep trail/hiking books called FunTreks by Charles Wells. I've used them for CA, UT, AZ and CO.

Imogene Pass 13k ft, Ouray, CO. Can take a lot of pictures when you get up top! IMG_20190726_161946.jpg

Before I start sharing pictures I have to say this thread is an incredibly awesome idea and I'm so thankful it was created.

These are pictures from a trip to Alaska at the end of August '21. I'll probably post my AAR on the trip when I'm done with my final revisions.

First picture that needs rotated is Summit Lake Trail in Hatchers Pass in Fishbone Alaska. Second picture is the next day at Independence Mine in Hatchers Pass the next day. Next picture is from Glen Highway facing south, just pulled over off the road and snapped that picture. Next two pictures are from Lions Head Trail near Glacier View, AK.

Love the "Great Outdoors", and photography is a hobby of mine. Been out to the southwest several times hiking and camping.

This first shot is Horseshoe Bend in Arizona along the Colorado River near sunset. If I remember correctly it is about 2000 ft down to the river.

The second shot is from our own Indiana on a trail in Turkey Run State Park. The waterfall is actually part of the trail and you hike up into it.

Good point .... Indiana has many nice State parks. One doesn't have to travel very far to encounter Mother Nature !

Sunset over Sugar Creek, which runs through Turkey Run S.P..

Not as awesome as some of the pictures posted. Some proud American birds. Top is a Bald Eagle eating a road kill just past my driveway. Need to zoom in. I was awestruck when I saw that. Bottom shows 2 of 3 young owls in the woods. Both were taken a few years ago.
