This is the view from my ground hide in Tippecanoe county.
These two pictures represent the entire hunting area, no more than 45 yards at best.
It's hard to see in these pics, but there is a paved country road at the base of the hill.

I have taken at least 1 deer per year from this single position over the last 15 years.
At least one of those years I managed to take 4 deer from this single spot.

My brother hunts the same property, and hillside, just about 400 yards away from me, he also has taken multiple deer per year from his hide.

The really nice thing about this property is when I shoot a deer, it usually runs downhill, right towards the road.
Generally makes for short drags and easy loading.

While on woods walks, I often look for the little things to photograph. :)

Picked up leaves…again…today. The shedding pace is ahead of last couple years, might be done before December. Only have 2 trees that are actually on my property with leaves remaining.

This 1 which really is basically done. And this 1 at end of my drive which is always last.

However I have this across property line to east and similar across road.

Soooo, depending on winds I still get leaves. Luckily prevailing winds this time of year on are in my favor.

I will say this has been a GREAT fall in our area for color. Has been just beautiful.

I hope you did some hiking for those of us stuck in the flatlands!

You know it, amigo ! That was just last year, and my youngest daughter and I tackled a couple of the easy trails. Before long, you get away from everyone else .... Colorado, in general, is a real jewel !

She's obviously a LOT better looking than me ! ;)
