We did our pheasant hunting going through South Dakota...used a slightly different method. Rapid City Glass actually had a 1989 windshield in stock so we only had to drive like that for about 2-1/2 hours. An hour stop for the replacement and back on the road we went. View attachment 166780

I'm sure it was well tenderized when it landed. It's somewhere on I-90 west of the Missouri River. Based on the amount of glass in the truck, there may be glass shards.

Having taken a Geology course at I.U., many years ago, I have a mild interest in the layered strata of rock ..... but I conclude that the real focal-point in the photo, rests with that fancy black & chrome machine that's underneath.
Please tell us about that machine !
