5 gallon fluid film bucket with sprayer and hose attachments. The hoses will get deep into rockers and spray internally.

You will want to do this yearly.

After just installing a rust free cab onto my super duty and a 2013 bed, I'm rusting proofing everything as we speak.

Cavity wax in the doors, rockers, etc. Fluid film for the rest.

Did some research, and watched some video's and going to go with this. My Dad left me his 1992 Nissan Pick up in 2000....I would spray paint frame about every year....kept it going and now my son has it. This stuff look way better and last much longer, can spray right over any rust also. Will be doing it on my 2018 Ram, so far its in great shape and haven't done anything to it except washing. Its basically cosmoline. fullsizeoutput_5a5.jpeg

Buy Fluid Film and do it yourself, as others have said. I use approximately 5-6 cans every fall and coat the entire underneath of my 2018 Tacoma.

Spray inside the tailgate, rockers, and doors, through drip hole and plugged access points. Also be sure to get inside nooks and crannies of frame. There is a distinct smell, that will eventually (2-3 weeks) subside. Some don't mind it, others do.

Using an extension wand/tube with small nozzle will help you access those hidden spots.

The aerosol cans seem nice, but in no way are you getting anywhere near the same quality as when it's sprayed through the gun with the bulk product out of the 5 gallon bucket.

It's literally like grease in the bucket, you scoop it up into the spray gun and it shoots it out. The aerosol is very very thin and spread out

When I got my 2016 Tacoma, I splurged and did the Ziebart undercoating/rustproofing/etc treatment with their diamond coat at a discount from the dealership. I get to take it in once/year for a free refresh on all the above for life. Other than needing to do it every year to keep the warranty active, I don't see any downside to having Ziebart take care of it. So far, not a spec of rust anywhere.

I think it is a waste of time and money to rustproof a modern car.

All the mechanical parts will go before the car rusts.

    Now if it a 1997 Nissan/Toyota/Ford/Chevy.... it will rust. If it's a 2020 I would never bother.

IDK, I just spent 6 months shopping for the right deal on a 2013-2014 F150 and saw a LOT with rust. Rust that didn't necessarily show in listing photos but in person was obvious.

I'd have to disagree. Especially for people like me that tend to drive a vehicle until the wheels fall off. If you're someone that replaces every 3 or 4 years, then yeah. And this is Indiana, so salt is going to be a factor. Untreated metal is going to rust pretty quick.

Buy some Fluid Film and do it yourself for a lot less or if you're inclined to not care for the smell of large farm animals use Woolwax Undercoating instead.
Fluid film or Cosmoline. I prefer cosmoline because we all know how tenacious it is.

    Buy a Ford..........

Oh hell no. My 2007 F150 frame rails rusted from the inside out despite being sprayed yearly. I traded my POS F150 for a Tacoma and have not regretted that decision for a moment. I took a bath on the trade because I disclosed the rust issues but it was worth getting rid of that pile-o-dung. I’ll never own a ford product again.

I used to have a Tundra and when they had frame rust issues, Toyota stood behind them and bought a lot of them back. No so with ford. Ford owners are on their own when the trucks rust out.

I’ve been using BoeShield T90 on the Tacoma. It’s going into it’s third winter and still looks new underneath. Each fall, it’s gets sprayed down again. BoeShield is made by Boeing to protect aircraft from corrosion. It goes on very thin and creeps into crevasses and then dries to a hard wax like coating. You can get it on Amazon
