Hot damn you stole that thing! Nice score!

I've literally spent the last 5-6 years looking for one of those...have yet to find one. For that money I'd have broke my arm reaching for my wallet! You'll never go wrong with an old stamped slide compact Sig!

Same here. Defiantly on my 'todo' list but always out of reach $ wise- if I ever found one. It was one of those stumbled-upon moments. It was going to its new home for sure.

    Purdy pistol, you did good,?
I have an old 226 new in the safe, I got it and then came Glock, so someday my son will take it into an LGS where it will go onto the used shelf too, I suspect.
I always wanted a 228 to go with it, but never did when I coulda/woulda/shoulda.

You might consider offering it for sale to someone that will appreciate it for what it is... Just sayin... :)

I hear you B&G my sons some day inheritance is in there with all the Colts, a Smith 629, and the G.I. 1911/1911A1 collection.
That’s why I said LGS someday, but not today I hope!

Congrats on a nice pick-up at a nice price!!!
I've always kinda wanted P-228...but have never pulled-the-trigger, so to speak!
Probably going to have to stick with my 'gots' and just choose to be content!
Hope you enjoy it for a long time...great 'fun' acquisition!

Nice shape for a vintage Sig 228.

They just seem to scratch an itch.

I bought a beater P228 to replace a Glock 19 in my car bag.

No shade on the Glock, but it just feels right.

I've always liked those. Dad had a German marked 226 that he gave to my brother. Love my polymer guns but something about the 226,228 and m9 that hold a place in my heart
