I've got lots-one being "coolspeak"-I been running a BSA on the custom Remmy 700-a factory 700 in .300 Roy that I slapped in a Boyd's stock but decided to take the Bushy off my shotty that I keep in the house for social work. Got a sweet Winny in 6.5 manbun and figure on tossing a Leupy on it. Another peeve is people whom when given a smidgen of imaginary authority refer to other individuals as "peoples". Another-making up excuses when trying to sell something-gonna sell this nice Raven to free up some room in the safe/ found this gun buried in the back of my safe(behind the Raven and Maverick) that I'd forgotten about so gonna throw it out there,don't really want to sell{but putting in classifieds anyway...}
I use peoples. So what. My favorite aunt used it and so did my darling much loved and sorely miss MIL God rest her sole.
Geez whiz Man step off……..:p

Thanks for not caring enough to stomp on my half-a-week-old post about MY pet peeves  I'm a fan of history and the AK-47 has a special, albeit especially limited place in it. Yeah, it's annoying as hell (to me) when people call a WASR an AK-47.

ARs are even more boring (to me) than replying to you, so no I don't refer to stuff as bike treads or LARPing or whatever. I also don't call them all M16s.
OK this is just a example and not a target but gee whiz “PEOPLES”
Ease up OK.

Hilarious.
Not apples to apples my friend.
People do a lot of **** that irritates or pisses me off at different levels. But nothing I can do or say to change this.
I do my best with the limited High School level public education I received.

People who chew gum with their mouth open. It bugs the crap out of me.
lol... The Old Man would charge that turkey drumstick of a finger and dry fire that baby right between the eyes for smacking your gum, chewing with your mouth open or talking with your mouth full. Only took once for each offense to be cured. Can’t remember but it was something like only hookers smacked their gum, only bums chewed with their mouth open and only Nazis, Democrats, Socialists and €~£~{%s talked with their mouths full. There were others but those are the highlights.

People not putting stuff back in its spot, specifically tools but its anything really.

My wife’s brothers/sisters/parents randomly showing up unannounced or just being there when i get off work and i have no clue until i roll into the driveway.

Getting a call anytime someone breaks down just because i own a trailer. AAA is $49/year, well worth the investment if your going to drive cars worth less than your average 1911. I think people getting mad when i tell them they can’t borrow my trailer fits in with that one.

USPS.
Mine is borrowing the trailer to move a lathe or mill and the lights don't work and the tags are expired from 9 years ago. Guy hauls wood with it at least a couple times a month, so it's not like it's been sitting in his back yard for 9 years.

Driving along in the proper lane keeping a safe distance between me and the guy in front of me to allow for braking and reaction time and someone decides they need to jam their car into that space after clearing my front bumper by 9 inches. Usually in a no passing zone, no pass because a crossroad is an eighth of a mile ahead. Usually they hit their brakes and turn, saving at least 2 seconds travel time over staying behind me and turning.

Idiots driving brand new cars cutting me off in traffic or otherwise trying to cause a wreck and I slam the brakes on, narrowly avoiding an accident. Not really peeved at them, at myself for reacting on instinct to avoid the accident that would have had their insurance pay to replace my crappy $600 car with a newer model.

People who get peeved when someone says "clip". I have an almost complete collection of American Rifleman magazines from the late 1920s up to the mid-1980s. The early issues featured the likes of Elmer Kieth, Townsend Whelen, Julian Hatcher, etc. Some of you young whipper snappers may not know the names, but us old farts do. In articles as well as answers to tech questions and the like, all those greats used the term clip to refer to a detachable box magazine the vast majority of the time. As did the other lesser known writers. They knew what they were referring to as did everyone else. As do the peeved folks, otherwise they wouldn't be peeved. It wasn't until well into the 70s or 80s before "magazine" came into common use in the Rifleman.

People who think every gun is a "Glock Fohtay". "Check out my Glock Fohtay" usually precedes the presentation of anything from a Lorcin .380 to a Raven .25, but hardly ever a .40 caliber Glock.

People who think an open tool box is an invitation to borrow tools. I don't mind people borrowing my tools as long as 1: they tell me they are borrowing them so I know who to go to when I need them back. And 2: They don't leave them lying on the ground where they used them instead of returning them. Boss' Grandsons have been "temps" to help around the shop last few weeks, most of their time is spent polishing and swapping shiny parts on a couple Harley's grandpa bought them. I am constantly reaching for a tool and grabbing air as the slot it lives in is empty. Of course they haven't seen them, and on the rare occasion they do return tools it's to the nearest toolbox to where they were working, not the one they took it from.

This is not limited to adult grandsons. Recently had 4 year old twin grandsons move in. Nobody ever "did it". Just found a lamp laying on its side in the livingroom. One finally fessed up, but was making the excuse that he was trying to put his toy truck into the drawer of the table the lamp was sitting on. :wallbash:

Not clearing a firearm when it changes possession. Even at a store, it needs to be done. I see people not doing it and my military blood boils.

I went in a store a couple days ago. Owner wasn’t there and there was a young girl at the counter. They had a little holster I wanted for the P238 my dad left me. I asked if I could check if the little used holster in the case fit the gun. She said sure and handed it to me. I unholstered the gun. I don’t carry it with one in the chamber until I get some experience shooting it and carrying it, its new to me. I took the mag out and before I test fit the holster I handed it to her and said “you want to make sure its clear.” She checked it and handed it back. It fit the gun great and was used so hoping I could get a deal. There wasn’t a price. About that time owner comes in. He has to decide how much the holster is. I hand him the gun and he checks its clear while saying to her “Always Check Its Clear!” I got to say “she did, she did” even though she only did because I prompted her.

Took a shotgun in for service two days ago. I know its clear but I decided to double check before I carried it in. Ill be damned if there wasn’t 4 shells in it. I have never been that guy but I was almost that guy. I’ll probably wind up Being that guy sooner or later.

Yes, hardly enforced but seen often.

The other one is using the "left turn lane" as a merge lane. For God's sakes, make your left turn when it's clear to do so! Don't drive on down in the left turn lane with your right turn signal on forcing your way in. I never budge or move over for those drivers.
I hope your kindness is rewarded in kind.

At least you checked! I think we all have been there. Complacency, especially in firearms is what causes accidents. Thanks for sharing brother!
