depends where you get themOh yeah, I've come to discover that they're good stuff (Henckels - hadn't heard of Zwilling). I just can't justify the cost for my personal use.
I poked around a few distributors and most of the bare blades are bowie, boot daggers, Moras, and folding knife blades.I took a peek at those, and they all look to be finished knives.
I only need the blade itself, and I will produce the handles.
I have some dimensional handles I would like to try.
Like these...

I bought mine when I was still single and had a lot more expendable income. Been a great investment though. Just have to handwash thoughI just looked. I could buy 2 or 3 complete Chicago sets for the price of a Shun French knife.![]()
I appreciate the effort.I poked around a few distributors and most of the bare blades are bowie, boot daggers, Moras, and folding knife blades.
Sorry, I was hoping I'd be able to help you out with something.
I even handwash my Chicago. I used to do a lot more cooking when I was younger (and had a woman that liked to eat, and was also a cook like me). Back then, the Henckels would've made more sense, but I was a lot poorer back then.I bought mine when I was still single and had a lot more expendable income. Been a great investment though.
