Sadly, Alzheimer's is dementia, but dementia isn't Alzheimer's.
And it can't be determined, with certainty, which it is until the person passes and an autopsy is completed.
Both Alzheimer's and dementia, run on both sides of the Mrs. family. Her grandmother had Alzheimer's to the
worst degree. It's terrible to see someone degrade from those diseases.

Best wishes to you, Susan, and both her parents.
We were told a good reference is that if the person thinks they're reliving the past that it is Alzheimer's. Not sure how true that is.
My Gpa was pretty much stuck in the 50's and 60's. It took us awhile to realize that the things he was saying had already happened.

Every person I've known with either, have flashbacks and bring up the past a lot.
They don't retain anything present, and eventually forget anyone they know.
They start out with good and bad days, and then they gradually all become bad days.
When you look into their eyes, the person that was once there, is absent.
I fear, since it's hereditary, that the Mrs. will at some point get it.

Afternoon everybody, still wet out. No rain last night, fields are draining well.

I can sure tell it’s Friday on INGO. Lotta laughs going on. Everybody’s getting ready for the weekend.

OK, coffee n English muffin it is.
