I bought my first Springfield Armory Inc rifle back in 1994. It was a dealer new M1A. I've had a ton of their products over the years, and personally wouldn't own any firearm actually made by Springfield.

I don't feel the same way about the gun they import and "brand" as their own. I had several of their imported Imbel FALs (marked "Springfield Armory SAR-48" that were spectacular. I wish I still had one. The Hellcat (imported) is a very good micro 9mm.

The Saint you referenced? I would pass. I had a Saint pistol that wasn't reliable (along with several M1As over the years that had issues).

They make some very nice 1911's.

I had a M1A Super Match years ago. It ran just fine and was more accurate than I could be with it. Back when I ran two gun matches, and long range competition.

Had to sell it to pay lawyer's off. :xmad:
