At the risk of showing how bad I’ve gotten, thought I’d post a challenge for us over-50 types.

We all likely carry something small and discreet in most cases. In my case it’s the LCP Max. How well do we shoot that small discreet gun, though?

First outing, 50 rounds. Each of these cards is 2x3.5”. Unsupported, 7 yards from target. I switched back and forth between 10 and 12 round mags seeing which worked better for me.

Best group occurred in the middle of the box, 2” across.

Let’s see them pocket gun targets, Geritol crowd!

Pretty good shootin` there Tex. I`m not too bad with my Glock 42, good enough when you understand pocket guns are up close and personal weapons, and the center mass shot offers a LOT of target.

Here's the Bacon pocket revolver at 25 feet, a little further than 7 yards, but in the neighborhood. I'm betting it will be the oldest entry.

I dont have pictures but I shoot my Kimber micro 9 fairly well. It's not a EDC though. Just a when you absolutely positively cannot carry a real 1911.

For when I do pocket carry, I picked up a S&W 340PD DAO in .357 Magnum and I carry it in a Don Hume Leather Pocket Holster!
I love the .357 Magnum caliber and the VZ grip fits 'just right' in the hand! For me, it makes for a decent pocket carry revolver...

The trigger on that little Ruger EC9S is actually very good ! and it shoots well, Lord only knows when I'll have it at the range again, but when I do I'll dig this post up and update you guys.

Maybe 5 shots at 15'...

I shot at 7 yards. You pick your pace. I fired at what I considered to be controlled cadence trying for good break, etc., at around 1 shot/second.

One (1) shot at 21' (7 meters)...here ya go (shot with a standard-pressure, 158 grain, .38 Special)...and witnessed!
