Nope, I didn't need the recruiter to show me which end of the pen made writing and all of my ASVAB scores were positive, so they wouldn't let me in.

I wasn't talking to you and it's not all about fashion sense. If you're not a Marine, you wouldn't understand how the brotherhood is bonded tightly with history and tradition. Maybe you would understand, but don't F with my uniform.

I would never in a hundred years wear that stupid cover. They would have to NJP me if I was still in. Though I did hear that they were only going to change the female cover to the new style. Anybody hear this as well? A buddy of mine who's still in told me this.

Anything I heard while I was still active never came to be a fact other than "you're scr...." or similar. I was usually the last to get any real news or it seemed that way.

He appoints the people who either do so themselves or appoint those under them who do so. He also has control over those people if the gets a wild hair up his a** about something like this. Given his track record for loony leftist notions like gender issues, I would not be surprised. In the end, if you turn a vicious animal loose, you responsible for the damage it does, like jacking with 'fashion' in the military with increasingly scarce military funding which is needed far worse for core military functions like repairing and replacing equipment and training. Then again, given the Kenyan's attitude regarding the military, maybe his goal is to have them looking PC at their funerals.

While I understand what you're trying to get at, I do think it to be the case. The current Sec of the Dept of the Navy, besides being a democrat doesn't really seem like the die hard supporter if his policies, and when you see the guy he REPLACED at that job, you'll really understand the point I'm making.

Bobo the Clown signed a directive to design and implement more "unisex" uniforms. The navy has them and they are horrible. Several years ago, the military started handing out flight suits that were wider in the bottoms. These were initially designed as a "woman only" issue but, I know several males that given these as uniform wear.

these proposed hats just make a peron want to walk up and smack the **** off the head of the wearer. Great that they were worn 100 years ago, should we also go back to the same bathing suits of yesteryear?

id also like to point out, it is obvious who has and has not worn the uniform of our country. If you had worn it and served, you'd know it's more than just a "cover". It is part of your uniform, a symbol of your service and dedication. You show your pride and commitment to the country, the service and your fellow service member in how you wear and maintain your uniform. To emasculate the male and, to some extent the female cover is unforgivable.

Go go to the New York post's website for a better idea of what this cover would look like with a dress uniform. The female pictured looks nothing more than a Salvation Army bell ringer.

If those bathing suits of yesteryear covered the beached whales that think they should be in a bikini, yes...immediately.
