Last 6 weeks going to the gym. According to the last BMI, I've lost 11 pounds of fat and put on 7.3 pounds of muscle. High protein keto is awesome.
    I went from 206# (July 16) to 185# (today)

BMI is pretty outdated and often considered inaccurate, but for comparison sake my body fat dropped from roughly 28% to roughly 21% while my muscle mass increased approx 4.6%. Visceral fat (the unhealthy fat around organs) also decreased and I'm now in the "average" range for healthy adults.

Balanced nutrition, roughly 45% carb, 35% protein, 20% fat

Light to medium workouts averaging just about an hour a day (treadmill walks, rowing machine, exercise bike)

I've done Keto but it's not sustainable for me. The macro counting and keeping under the 20-30 carbs a day is a PITA.

I think this is the key. Find what works, long term, for you.
What I know is that if I crack open a can of Spam and sit in an easy chair "sharing" my snack with the dogs then I tend to gain weight.

Nothing more Keto friendly than Spam :runaway:

Spam would be low carb friendly but considered "dirty Keto" at best because it does contain a small amount of carbs and a ton of nitrates. Most bacon would fall under that last category as well
