There was actually life before cell phones. We didn't have to dial the area code for local numbers, but we had to dial a 1 in front of it if it was more than one town away. Dialing from Crown Point to Gary, Hammond, Hobart, Lowell, used to be long distance and we had to pay an extra $0.10/min on our landline bill.
And another time where I finish midnights, it's raining, and I get a migraine.Just another wet Monday morning.
Quoted for truth. Been there. Done that. Daily. IN THE SNOW. For the first 47 years of grade school and all 12 years of high school too.Something something uphill both ways
Yes. Lots of calling people and saying 'call me back' at the time. Just about everywhere was long distance for us in CP except Cedar Lake, Merrillville, and Schererville. Everything else was long distance. So if I wanted to call a store near the mall, if it was a 769 or 738 exchange, it was local, but if it was 942 or 947 (Hobart exchanges), it was long distance.I've seen the "local long distance" be a one way street. You could call from one number to another, and it would be local.
But if the 2nd number calls the 1st, then it's local long distance.
We used that to know to answer the next call. When our relatives would depart to travel home, they would ring twice to let us know they had arrived safely.
It's only 6 guns.
Why put them in a box?
That looks like my daily carry guns.
Crossdraw, right hip, vest pocket, jacket pocket, 2 on the ankles. Save money and just carry.
exactly ... every day carry
Finally broke this morning. And another time where I finish midnights, it's raining, and I get a migraine.
Great way to waste a day off. Sick, nauseous, and in pain.
Yeah.
