Thanks. At least after lemi shine bath with dawn the metal is pretty clean of defects. Should turn out nice after rust bluing.

Yes Sir. I've been told the prep work and polishing is the most important step in bluing, assuming everything else is done right. Good luck with it and let us know how it works out.

Feels great to be back home. As an added bonus, a family friend showed up today before we left with some reloads of 50 rds of .38, 100 of 9mm, and 50 of .45.

That sounds like a pretty great family friend.
The type of guy that would give a stranger the shirt off his back. I've supplied him with a ton of brass over the years, magazines, etc. He does a lot of things on trade. We go shooting at least a couple times a year. He has quite the collection. He used to teach 4H shooting and got my dad in as an instructor when he retired.
Only negative thing I can say about him is he has never been on time for anything in his life.

I just saw this, just in case you did not.

Been following the sketchy details for a while. I've had the pleasure of meeting up with him face-to-face several times. I met up with another member in Indy to buy that rifle and he didn't know anything past what is online. Hope he's on the upswing. He's already on borrowed time.

They got me twice in 3 years. Ended up as a juror on a murder trial the second time. Haven't been summoned again since 2015.
    Murder trial would be cool.

Had to serve for a lawsuit against a construction company that paved a lady's street. According to her it cracked her inground pool. What a ****ing joke that was. The old lady and the judge couldn't stay awake. Wasted 4 days of my life and had to burn 4 vacation days to do my "civic duty" I've since filled out the form that no, I cant be a unbiased, or whatever term they use, juror.

I'd be happy to serve on a jury if they paid me what I make per day and not take 2 months to pay.

    ERRRRRR!!

Well, gonna have to drill a hole through the firewall, but I've figured out where I'm doing it.
So, I started mounting the lights.
Two 36 watt lights mounted on the back. No problem.
I thought I had a place to mount brackets on the front for a single 198 watt light, cut the brackets, and painted the first coat.
BUT, while the paint was drying, went to drill the holes into the Escape. And now I see a problem.
Looks like I either need to find a different spot, or I'm gonna have to remove the front bumper/grill to drill the holes.

The problem is, the only way to drill (the way it is), is to drill at a 45 degree angle. And if there was a hole already there, then I could drill it wider.
BUT, starting a hole, at a 45 degree? Now I have a problem.
So now I'm online looking up how much is involved in removing it.

The 36 watt light I mounted on the riding mower was SUPER EASY.

I'm lucky on Jury duty. Work makes up the difference.
But all my notices so far, I've made the call Sunday night, and they've said they don't need me.

Course, I probably just jinxed myself.
