    Per Region News Source, confirmed tornado touchdown last night from 10:05-10:10 starting in unincorporated Cedar Lake traveling 4.8 miles and ending in northern Crown Point. Winds 75-85 mph. Looks like hiding in the bathroom wasn't such a bad idea.

    I had to google EF-0 tornado, I’ve never heard of that, basically it’s a strong breeze. Ef-0’s were added to the Fujito scale a few years ago, seems like a new way to feed peoples fears.

    Christmas gifts all wrapped and under the tree.
    Packed up and ready for a much needed range trip tomorrow as well
    Jelly. Going to hit Blythe's one day in about 2 weeks during a weekday, then over Christmas, (aside popping cans with all the kids at my parent's) heading over to my buddy's range that stretches out to a quarter mile. He recently passed a bunch of NRA certification classes and started a side business teaching classes on various weekend dates.

    Maybe if the volume was not set at 11 fr every little thing people would pay attention when they were warned.
    When the warnings come I look at the various weather sites and try to make an informed decision. I also look out the windows. The world does exist outside of a TV or phone screen. You can pay attention, but not just run and hide. Of course, you would have less to be grouchy about if you were reasonable. If they want folks to pay attention they need to get the warnings on Twitter and Facebook.

    Not gonna argue because it looks like this is a hill you want to die on, and in 75-85mph winds, you just might.

    There is a difference between fearing the weather and respecting what it is capable of. I will continue to camp out in my bathroom when the warnings come, and you can continue to mock me. I'm good with that.

    I am not grumpy, I am crotchety!

    I do have a personal Texas weather station. I pay attention to it.

    Log chain on a pole.

    Readings:

    Dry = Fair weather
    Wet = Rain
    White = Snow
    Swaying = Gentle breeze
    Standing straight out = Windy
    Links snapping off the end = Root cellar time
