    It's always the same handful of guys. Today it was my relief. This dude calls off for every tummy ache and stubbed toe or just makes s*** up because he doesn't wanna come in.

    And yet, probably complains when other's call off on him.
    And complains he doesn't make enough $$

    Thanks. I will be honest about my situation, and if they say I have to stay, I'll find a way.
    This conversation is jogging my memory now. If you make it into the jury box, I recall that we were asked if there was any reason why we could not discharge our duty as jurors. That is the opportunity to explain your situation. If you stay, then they start probing your life experiences and views. I imagine each judge runs their courtroom somewhat differently but that was my experience.

    Ive had to show for jury duty 3 times. I told them one time, when asked if I could be impartial, "I believe the judicial system is corrupt and it's not innocent until proven guilty, but guilty till you prove your innocence", and I still got picked :ugh:

    I want to meet the madman who decided it was a good idea to install a low flow toilet in a bathroom used entirely by steelworkers and smack him with a no touch tool.
