Thanks for the suggestions. We will try Tate's Place tomorrow and the others another time.
Get there before mass let's out at Nativity at 8a.m. and 11a.m.

Third Coast and Sugar Bowl have the fresh squeezed OJ machines if you enjoy that.

Like so do they need to pay their mortgage next month?
Who picks up all that mess and who gets charged for it?

Say one had insurance for 300k but you still owe 200k on the house. So does the insurance give 200k to the bank and the other 100k to you?

Where you gonna sleep for the next week? Hotel?? Does one just walk over to the other block and find say your gun case with your AR and take it?

He'll you don't even have a car anymore.

It's like when the van was stolen. The mental shock of losing the van, where did it go. And then the anger. And then the headache of dealing with a cold couldn't care less insurance company and the wait and wait for them to pay out and then they just cut you off of the rental.

    kinda- sorta

The bank has a lien on the property so Insurance pays them first
Then depending on your Policy you either

1: Replacement Cost - you buy a new replacement and submit receipt to insurance - they pay you up to limits of policy

2: Current Value - adjuster estimates the Current Value of items lost - $1000 sofa 5 years old now worth $300 - up to limits of policy

That is for stuff inside the house.
    What about the actual house.

I've dealt with insurance before and they are horrible!

&*#$% moved so slow when tree made a hole in roof. jedi had to fix it jediself with thr help of a roofer guy. Insurance could care less about the water damage that may wlukd have occured had jedi waited for them. jedi ended up paying out of pocket and got zero help from insurance.

Years prior when the raccoons damaged the attic in prior house again insurance claimed it was out of policy and offered no solutions. Again had to find someone to help fix all of it and raccon proof the attic.

So yeah guess jedi has no desire to be asking insurance for help as they never f... help!
