Who's road tripping to ATL?

I'll be there again as a Firearms safety inspector. Best volunteer gig ever because I get in a day early and get to fondle everything!

So if you're driving down from Indy and need to be there the 26th hit me up.

Just got back from travelling thru Atlanta.
They are advertising this heavily on the radio stations.
Traffic because of that collapsed overpass is horrible.
Recommend adding an hour to any sort of driving in town because of it.
I thought Chicago had bad traffic till I drove thru there.
6 lanes of complete back-up.
Took us 50 minutes to travel 7 miles from our hotel to our destination.
Have fun.

Yeah, I have relatives that post on fb from there and the traffic is a mess! Don't let your tank get below 1/2 full, you never know when a trip is going to take forever.

Kathy and I will be there. We are staying at the Double Tree. I have tickets to the Hank Williams Jr concert Saturday and the prayer breakfast on Sunday.

I'm looking forward to the event; but, I'm dreading the traffic.

The traffic was bad even without the collapsed bridge when we were on the way down to Disneyland.

AuntieBellum and I will be there for the weekend this year. We'll be working the Youth Day events with Revere's Riders, and actually plan on seeing the rest of the show. First time since Indy I'll get to just wander! :patriot:

Next year is in Texas then it's back to good ol' Indiana!

I have not booked a room yet and this traffic hysteria is making me want to stay closer than I normally would.

We are at the Marriott. I always book within walking distance of the show, because if a shuttle/taxi/??? is late, or traffic is bad it gets real expensive real fast.

Im not looking forward to this one. I cant wait for Texas, Indy, St louis.

I hear ya, brother. This is a grit your teeth and clench city. Atlanta will be no fun, but I anticipate knocking out a couple of books at the hotel room.

Is there a thread about NRA CarryGuard and/or the fact the NRA is uninviting USCCA and SecondGuardDefense?

I debated going to Atlanta this year. I have 2 people I could stay with but traffic, even w/o bridges collapsing, is a nightmare. That city is growing faster than it can handle. Many cities in nice weather with good job potential are.

Indy in 2 yrs...looking forward to it. May look in to a ticket to texas next year just for the hell of it.

Maybe someone could let them know how the customers feel about their actions while they are there at the convention.

I was going to post on this as well, I guess we know now why USCCA was 'disinvited'.
