I am a little disturbed that you think you would have been more effective than 58 killed, 876 injured (411 with bullet/shrapnel wounds). 1 person, in a hotel room, at 200yds+.

You do realize that is much more than 1000 rounds downrange? please explain how you would have been more effective...

    More deaths.
    Less injuries.

He "spray and prayed" into a crowd.
With no bumpstock, he could have just yanked the trigger.
Then they'd be calling for banning semi-autos. .oh wait, they are trying to ban those.

200 yards isn't any distance at all for a rifle.
Slow down a bit, and aim, and the percentage towards death would have skyrocked.

Give them bumpstocks, and they will just go after something else.
Because they are not solving the problem.
So, they will pick something else that doesn't solve the problem.
How many gun laws are there already?

By the way.... I have yet to hear one solid argument FOR bump stocks, other than freedom.

And by that logic, we should all be FOR grenade launchers, RPG's, hell, I'd like to own a minigun.
If you’ve got $60k Ruralking will sell you a working .45-70 Government gatling gun, 5 barrel tripod model. Of course if you don’t reload, good luck getting ammo for it!

If only they had the power you attribute to them.

Trump did not win because of the NRA in 2016, he did not lose because of a lack of the NRA in 2020.

Many political analysts said that the NRA endorsement of Trump was the catalyst that launched the win...

By the way.... I have yet to hear one solid argument FOR bump stocks, other than FREEDOM!
Freedom is good enough for a normal American. Normal constitution loving Americans love Freedom. They hate infringement on any Freedom. I'd say Freedom is a very good argument unless you're a progressive/national socialist or hard core communist.

Pro gun people were lined up to vote for Hilary until the NRA said "NO! Vote for Trump!"?

Or do you think it was "OMG, vote for Trump because Hilary is going to ban guns!"?

I would be very surprised if anything the NRA did during that election played a significant role in the outcome of the election. Not to mention, if they are so powerful where were they in 2008 and 2012?

So all NRA get out the vote efforts in Wisconsin did not produce the very narrow winning margin? Same with Pennsylvania and Michigan. They spent $30 million on this.

The truth is the NRA endorsement really was the event that changed Trump from a novelty candidate to a contender in the primary.

The NRA efforts in battleground states very likely provided the margin to win...

You need to go back and review what really happened in 2016.

It looks like the NRA endorsed Trump May 20th, 2016. By then Trump had already pretty much won. Cruz dropped out after our primary, which was on May 3rd.

To be honest, I haven't done my research, but is GOA a better run organization worth the $$$? Thanks

So will Schumer even take a call from GOA? Will republican leaders take that call? Do any of them even know what the letters GOA stand for?

I do not know a single person away from INGO that knows who GOA is, do you?

I didn't say the endorsement won the primary, it changed how people viewed him as a candidate. The media pushed him to defeat the others in the primary expecting many republicans to reject him in the general election, thereby helping HRC. The NRA endorsement and support clearly was a big deal toward winning...

I’ve been a NRA life member for many years. I’m disappointed in the lack of transparency from the NRA leadership to its members. I will remain a NRA life member, but I’m now giving my money to GOA. They seem to be willing to fight.

He had already basically won before the endorsement. How was it a big deal in him winning?

I reached out to my liberal friends 1 did not the other did out of the two I contacted so in my very tiny poll sample it's 50% know of GoA.
