Ironically, I wouldn't be surprised it it provides political cover for other controversial activities that help the bottom line. An article posted above states Blackrock has an instrumental role in privatizing pensions in France. When you're the shock troops launching the attack on Fraternite/Equalite, it helps to have some progressive allies running cover for you.

DEI is a ploy to buy liberal cooperation.

Now now, like many things, there is often up front loading when you make changes. But it works itself out over time. You know, like when you build a bunch of stores, profits go down due to construction costs, but afterward, profits go up above where they were pre-construction.

So give it time. Once all those bigots forget the changes, they will make more money than ever!
