No fire dept.... no concrete. Slept in til almost 8.

I'd love to go to breakfast in Chesterton at North Side Diner but it's hit n moss if they're open anymore. I love that place.

Suzis is good too but too damn busy. No parking.
Third Coast Spice Cafe and Sunrise are open too.

If you recall the car accident from last November on Willowcreek in Portage that killed a young teacher, the driver that caused it was just charged with reckless homicide and criminal reckless when defendant commits aggressive driving resulting in death. No charges related to impaired driving.

The PC affidavit says a download of his car's event recorder showers him going 113 mph 5 seconds before impact and 107 mph at the time of impact....on Willowcreek.

    One of my kids knew
I just saw this in another thread posted by @KG1 , Jim Shema who owned Jim Shema's Outdoor Sports in Merrillville passed away in Jan.

I knew Jim from shooting with him in Steel Challenge matches.
I knew Jim and Kathy Shema for many years and was always in their shop. Kathy helped me get into NPCCC. They were special people.

You know you’re cool when you see a picture like this and turn around to compare it to the mini van you’re driving…. Slightly different

For those curious, there are still no scanners or wands at US Steel Yard. Walked right in the outfield gate.

I spent 6 years in the navy trying to minimize my radiation exposure, and now I'm getting it injected..
Few years ago had that stuff injected 2 times. Few weeks later I’m scrapping some metal. Sitting in my truck on the yard scale and the attendant comes out and asks me if I had any medical procedures lately. Long story short, I set off their gigercounter. Also learned that some scrap yards have a lot more technology than you realize.
