I used that line once or twice back in the day.At a restaurant, I felt like Sadclown.
A kid was whining/crying the entire time.
Parents were trying to console the kid, bribe him to stop.
It normally doesn't bother me.
But after a while I was waiting for the dad to act like my dad, and tell him if he didn't stop, he'd give him something to cry about.
Alas, we are in a 'better' time... supposedly.
