260 days on my Griffin Bushwacker 46. It was efiled with through Silencer shop. Approved at 8:15 this evening. Fingers crossed this snow doesn't impact the gun shop opening tomorrow morning. Unfortunately I have a work call from 9-10 tomorrow morning so I won't be able to go get it until after that.

I called ATF for the first time on my R9. They said it was approved on 10/16. I reached out to my dealer to find out why my stamp isn't there. I'm almost certain I've shot a match with him since then and he didn't say anything about my stamp coming in

ETA: Dealer has my stamp. Got it last week.

    Check cashed: 11/9/21
    Approved: 10/16/22

I stick by my claim of no accountability because otherwise you wouldn't have wildly different approval times from one examiner to the next. If you read the Reddit NFA approval threads, Carol Ripley regularly sends them back approved in 7-10 days, the next closest guy is 15-30 days and the rest go up from there.
I have evaluated federal employees as part of a business case analysis (I was previously in Manpower Management). Individual performance varies greatly, just like in the private sector. It is due to a myriad of factors: intelligence, disability, attitude, work environment. One examiner's performance can't accurately be compared, apples-to-apples, to another's. Without knowing each examiner's conditions, we're just guessing as to the reason for production disparity. But all examiners are accountable (re: my original post).

[sorry, this probably needs split into a new thread]

My frustration stems from a forced withdrawl, delayed $ refund & resubmit. This, after months of waiting, put me at the back of the line causing a duplication of efforts by me, my FFL & the FBI/ATF.

All over a very minor error on a new, not very well documented eFile form 4 procedure. These petty tactics delay everyone, not just me. We all have standing in this.

The people at the top of ATF are not friends of their bosses (us tax payers). They despise us or they'd be trying to help resolve these delays. There shouldn't be variations in processing time when a political opponent steps into power. The ATF rules and processes should be strickly set and not change with the political winds.

Picked silencer up from Beech Grove Firearms Saturday morning 11/22/08.
Seeing all these posts from 2008 has me wanting to cry. I’m 160 days in on a can and know I’m only half way there. I need to start buying a new one every 3 months so I’m always getting something approved.

Your patience is impressive! Call them immediately and pick that can up! I think I would have called right after I got notice of approval.
