221 days for my Griffin Resistance 22, which I bought immediately after my SiCo Osprey 9 approved on eForm in about half that time. My SiCo Hybrid 46 a couple years back(and obv on paper) might have actually approved faster. Oof.

    I’m at 260 days on an Eform 4 for a can…..

I feel you. I'm at 202 so far. I was looking forward to the 90 day approval. I wasn't even too upset when ATF times reached 5 months, as it's better than the year wait for paper forms... but it looks like it doesn't matter how you file, it's going to be a while regardless.

The wide disparity of approval times on forms sent in the same day is discouraging.

I just did two eF1s today and they might come back before my April eF4

Ain't that the truth. My YHM R9 went pending on 11/9/21 on a F4 trust 1 person and still nothing. Longest approval wait for me by far. I think the longest I've waited before was 7 months

I checked on my May, 2022 submission- still no approval. I received some insight that most E-form filings are taking 300 days, your experience my differ, to process due to examiners being pulled off of E-file system to correct the backlog of paper form submissions.

It won't help with the silencer but you'd kinda be better off buying the "pistol" version and filling a Form 1 on it . It could come back approved somewhere between about two weeks and two months.

Federal employees = no accountability. I filed those two Form 1s on December 2nd. One came back on the 11th, the other is still pending.

eForm 4 certified on May 3, through Bobcat and Silencer Shop, nothing yet.

    YHM R9, paper 1RP trust, sent on Nov 20, 2021, approved Nov 09, 2022

Its not the fault of the federal employees. The vast majority of them are honest, hardworking, and put mission before self. I know this from first hand experience. And they are accountable to you; simply contact your US House Rep if you have an issue with their service. Its a fairly easy process to hold them "accountable."
The real issue is poor governance. There is no impetus for the USG to get you your approval quickly. As evidence, look at the two biggest committers: the VA claim process & the ATF NFA process. The excuse is always "back log." But there's never a true remediative effort to fix it, long term. That's poor governance.

I wonder how much more tax revenue would be generated by moving those 87,000 irs agents to atf examiners. At $200 a piece guaranteed per transaction vs. however much from they MAY get from a $600 Venmo transaction...

I stick by my claim of no accountability because otherwise you wouldn't have wildly different approval times from one examiner to the next. If you read the Reddit NFA approval threads, Carol Ripley regularly sends them back approved in 7-10 days, the next closest guy is 15-30 days and the rest go up from there.
