    There is a new firearm training option in Lafayette! Range Line Simulations offers indoor, virtual shooting simulations for everything from three gun, to active shooter situations to just target practice! Veteran owned and operated! Just trying to help these guys out

    Simulation is okay if you are not planing on developing muscle memory from it. They can show you situations that don't occur on a regular basis that you can respond to.

    I've been working with sims since the 80's, Distributed Mission Training is sims over-promising and under-delivering since the Link trainer was developed during WWII.

    Noting trumps real world training.

    I had a good time at Range Line Simulation today. He handed me a laser pistol and let me shoot. I did several of the three gunn simulations and one of the scenario simulations. I plan on going back after deer season. I see it as a upgrade to my sirt pistol with the tiny cardboard idpa targets I have at home.

    If it's like the VIRTRA, it is good for running scenarios. I agree it doesn't help with firearms proficiency.
