Maybe already mentioned, but I just figured out you can copy/paste screen grabs directly into a message and it will post. No need to even save a file and attach it. That's freakin' rad.

For Outlook users, it basically works like that now.

It appears to me that at least some of my recent (last three or four days) posts have gone AWOL.

Also I can't find the Defensive Gun Use thread?
Still have this ‘plaint. Neither forum search nor looking thru my content nor google search shows a post in the amazon/ netflix thead.

Searching for “defensive gun use” using forum search, my content, and google and site name comes up zero as well. Seems to be completely gone.

Dang it! I got the one time it's gonna happen over with wayyyy too early this year! ;)
Well. I've found it's better to get it out of the way as early in the year as possible. I mean if you're deep into December and haven't had one yet, you start having anxiety attacks about it. Besides, if you get it out of the way early and happen to have another sometime during the year, it's all bonus.

Thanks! But I’m still baffled as to why that didn’t show up in the first few pages on the search

I found that searching my old email notifications. I subscribe to that thread.

Search on this site works once in a while, often not though for the simplest of keyword searches.

I put a new ad in the Classifieds this evening (Ruger 10/22 Mannlicher).
There was an edit button at the bottom of the ad.

I went to check on an ad I put in last week (SW 14-3 1970 .38 sp revolver) & noticed the "edit" button was missing.
It was there last week when I edited it w/o issue.

The new ad I put in this evening had the "edit" button.

Is there a time limit for editing an ad listed in the Classifieds?

In my opinion, allowing editing of ads has the potential to be abused.
Some places do not allow changing the original wording at all but they allow adding more details and corrections.
There is a responsibility on the seller to be accurate when placing an ad.

The last thing anybody wants is to open the door for fraud by allowing the seller to change the pictures or the description of the condition, especially after a deal is made. I am not saying this happens here but only that if it is allowed it will happen some day.

I think having the ability to edit your ad is needed so that you can reduce the price in the original post instead of when bumping the ad. This helps eliminate the need to scroll through to find the last post with an updated price, instead keeping everything in the OP.
