We're still waiting to see what the actual legislation will look like. Indiana's "Laird Law" was changed in 2019 and provided a much-less vague law and more specified protections.

From what our resident LEOs have posted here on INGO, well there's a reason the abuse cases are coming out of other States.

Do we remain vigilant? Of course.

What will come out of "the framework"?? I'm waiting to see what "enhanced" background checks looks like.

Will the RvW riots kick this to the back-burner? We shall see.

Seems funny that the crowd that was all about defunding the police is now all about ending due process, so they may disarm the public?

don't get all wound up. The red flag will be stripped out just like it has been over the past couple years.

What will stay is military funding. Prohibition of military personnel less than honorable discharge for not getting vaxxed, funding for military on the border. plus more.

So much for the Indiana Red flag law, now that it is likely we will have national one. Oh, that Indiana red flag version didn't get rescinded.

The SCOTUS has set it up so our red flag law can be challenged. If it doesn't meet constitutional criteria I'm sure it will be declared unconstitutional. If it bypasses the 4th Amendment it will get the boot.

    Any volunteers?

Not this time. They just incentivized the states to pass them. Dangled some more of that sweet borrowed federal $$$.

National red flag law would be a problem. Just waiting for the next dem stronghold on the presidency and congress. They could effectively end the 2A, by turning anything gun related into a "red flag," including reading forums such as this.

We have problems with our Indiana red flag law being selectively applied. Not to mention the real question of whether due process is actually followed or just claimed to be followed.

The good part of this red flag discussion is that these red flags are being exposed for the constitutional violations that they are.
