I was in a generous mood when I said 1k. I still will tune in from time to time. Just not quite the priority it was in the earlier days (1985-2000) for meNASCAR attendance? Man I never looked in the stands. You saw more people than I did.
The no practice thing is really dumb. Several cars had issues that almost cost them making the 500. They would have been sorted out in practice.“Speed weeks“ is now down to 5 days with no practice.
almost as bad as “the month of may”…
Lots of names I'm not familiar with in these trucks. I'm waiting for the Big One myselfStage 1 truck race went by quick.
I hardly watch NASCAR anymore. I used to love the short track races, Talledaga, and, since it was the first race of they year—Daytona. But not so much anymore. I don’t even know who all is driving anymore.
I was watching this one when this happened. Hard to believe it’s been 22 years. I loved to watch him race.
IKR. That wreck didn’t even seem all that violent either. We had a bunch of friends over at our house watching that race. Doesn't seem like it was that long ago.
No it didn't! You'd see wrecks where cars would go airborne, flip multiple times, etc. and the drivers would walk away unscathed. His looked like a typical collision with the wall. We were all just gobsmacked.IKR. That wreck didn’t even seem all that violent either.
NASCAR is Dying a Slow Painful Death. Stage Racing, Cookie Cutter Cars etc, etc........
