First experiment in asteroid deflection.
Second thought should be NASA TV.That’s just crazy! My first thought was I wonder if we’d be able to see it but then read how far away it is…
Very cool! Thanks for the heads-up.First experiment in asteroid deflection.
Right? I mean, would it have killed them to strap a Go-Pro to the rocket? And maybe have a second rocket follow it to record it on its cellphone and post it on Instagram?Second thought should be NASA TV.
Remember the Ranger series of lunar probes that ballistically impacted the Moon before the Surveyor probes soft-landed there?Hoping the live feed will be like camera footage from the nose of an optically guided missile, but probably not...
With our government, they’ll probably deflect it onto a collision course with earth..,Very cool! Thanks for the heads-up.
The asteroid is moving away from earth, so no chance of that. With our government, they’ll probably deflect it onto a collision course with earth..,
ETA, someone beat me to it…
And blame it on Trump, Putin and climate change. With our government, they’ll probably deflect it onto a collision course with earth..,
ETA, someone beat me to it…
Really!? With our luck considering we ended up with Brandon as president the laws of physics will change just to allow it to happen. The asteroid is moving away from earth, so no chance of that
He'll have to issue an EO on gravity.Really!? With our luck considering we ended up with Brandon as president the laws of physics will change just to allow it to happen.

That's what I'm getting at. If 1" = 1 MOA at 100 yds., what does 525' = at 7 million miles? Pretty sure, that's sub-MOA accuracy.hitting a 525 foot sized object 7 million miles away just blows my mind.
