A ton of stuff has been said, and feelings hurt, in this sub forum. I thought it time to lay out exactly where I stand and why.

    1. I think abortion is killing babies. Period. A form of birth control, no way. All abortions illegal, no. There are times when taking a life is acceptable, and I would listen to those; but as a “woman’s right”? No. It is killing babies and I can’t and won’t budge from that.

    2. Gun rights. Banning “assault weapons” and high capacity mags, no. A hard no.

    3. Socialism, such as the “ new green deal”, a hard no as well. I’m all for cleaner and better energy, but just look at California, they can’t even keeep the lights on. I say let the free market decide what is best, seems to have worked so far. The people that decry capitalism seem to ignore the last hundred years or so of our history.

So there you have it, this rednecks view. That is how I see it. I understand others view, but reject them as incompatible with my take on things. To each their own I guess, my opinion here, bu there will come a time when we all answer for what we did. I am okay with what I have done, minus some teenage years.......

    1. I don't care abouit abortion one way or the other.
    2. Repeal the NFA, Constitutional Carry should be nationwide.
    3. Socialism is for losers. There's a good reason you only see the stupidest people advocating for it, Bernie, Sandy Cortez, Ilhan The Inbred, etc.

I think I can give my opinion on the OP subjects and stay within the lines, and these are just my opinions as well. Abortion is a subject I used to stay away from because I was never going to be pregnant. Being in my 70's I grew up when all abortion was pretty much illegal and were done by quacks or self induced. That ended up killing both the unborn babies and the mothers and I did not see this as acceptable. But now with the super late term "at birth" abortions being done I have drawn the line as not being acceptable.
Gun rights to me are sacred! I am now and for most of my adult life a one issue voter and that is what makes my decision. I have always found whoever would best protect my gun rights was usually the person that fell in line with my other views.
Socialism, well I started working when I was 16 and worked for the next 50 years supporting myself and my family and am proud of that fact. I believe it was Margret Thather that said "Socialism doesn't work because eventually you run out of other peoples money."
As some here know I just moved here from Illinois and yes all I brought with me was my wife, my dogs and my guns. I left my home town where I had lived all my life because of the gun laws and socialist type politics. I decided it was worth starting over at my age than live under conditions like those in Illinois and we are happier than we had imagined. Jim.

    1. Yep. There should be some exceptions, but mostly abortion should be stopped. Thinking it's the woman's right to murder the life inside of her is insane to me.
    2. Yep. Can list many, many things here, but we all know ;)
    3. Yep. I've watched a lot of videos and read a lot of articles and I believe that nuclear power is the way to go. There are some issues with it, but they can be dealt with. I believe the ruling class doesn't want us to have access to abundant energy, which is why people have been lead to believe that nuclear power is bad. Green energy can only go so far, without multiple detrimental changes to our country.

OK I have to get involved.

#1....man thats a sticky subject. If you look at my avatar you have my answer to #1. Nuff said.

#2...."Shall not be infringed".....again, nuff said. When our illustrious ruler on high Gov. Holcomb stated that const. carry was not required because Indiana's LTCH was free.....:lmfao: there in you will find the problem.

#3....The only issues with Nuc energy is the greed of man. Short cuts taken when building these plants are the root cause of failure. I firmly believe that if they put all the required elements in place, find a way to dispose of the waste, monitor the plant with trained and knowledgeable people this would work.
But that leaves 3 critical areas where greed will cause failure. Follow the money....always.

Oh and along with your stuff for # 3, nothing in a nuke plant should ever, EVER be connected to the internet. No matter how convenient that might be for operators or management of that plant! Last thing I'd want to see is a nuclear plant meltdown because some script kiddie got into their system... :ugh:

    Yep, that's funny.

I've come to realize that a lot of the views I've held for a long time, about businesses, about the rich, about nuclear power and a lot of other things, were influenced by Hollywood and the media. I try not to take anything for granted any more and try not to rely on gut feelings that were manipulated as I was growing up via TV, movies and news stories.

I would add that America is mostly a center-right nation so these views are more mainstream than the crazies want you to think.

Nope, don't want uranium fission technology operating on my planet for electric generating stations, not even a little bit.
