Display is up and running. (last years program).
I have some changes in the program to put out tomorrow.
    Mostly small changes.
"Mary Did You Know" has some bigger changes. Mostly more lights at the beginning of the song.

Come on by and see them.
    Runs 4 pm to midnight.

How long does it take to do a song now?

do you do the lights first then figure a song, or are some of the lights there specifically for a song component?

I was going through the thread, trying to remember what songs I was going to do next, realized I don't think I answered the second question.

I usually do lights (placement, which ones I buy, etc) separate.
I try to think what would look good in the yard.
I do try to keep an eye of how I would use it though.
Some things are individual, lights on the porch, on the garage, up a tree, and stars.
Some things are grouped. 6 or 12 strings on a "tree of lights". 6 strings on the bushes. 6 large candles. 6 snowflakes falling.

Then, when I'm listening to a song, my brain starts thinking of how I would do it. What lights go when.
Especially when I'm programming songs. My brain can't stop. I've even listened to non-Christmas music and my brain starts thinking of how to do it.
for instance.. Broken by Seether and Amy.

Light show is up and running.
Come on by and see it.

Anyone doesn't know my address, PM me, or ask in this thread, and I'll PM it back.

Show runs 4 pm to midnight.

This year I've added 6 more candles.
Sunday I'll put up 6 soldiers from the nutcracker.

I'll video and place here in a few days, or a week.

    :yesway:

We have a few houses around here with a Christmas light display but I've never seen one with the matching music like you do.

A few around here let the computer decide the light timing.
The software I'm using has 3 "wizards" to make it easier.
In fact, I used two of the wizards to do "Santa Claus is coming on a Boogie Woogie choo choo train".
    It was very fast.
And, every time I watch it, I am disappointed.
I think after the next song or two is created, I'm gonna go back and manually program, like I did the others.

And then some of the other songs.
I had added some lights since the last time I video'd, so I re-video'd them.
1 song for some reason didn't copy into the show.
and 1 song I had a recording issue.
So.. here are the other 4
