Not to derail the thread, we can discuss this somewhere else if there's interest, but not only was the Citizen alert WAY too late to be actionable, but it was for an event over 250 miles from my location with no effect outside the immediate area.

I've found they're rarely timely in their alerts. Even when local, they're usually at least 15 minutes after an event. Maybe that's just because they rely on reporting from citizens (or people monitoring police scanners or something)?

And it also may be purposefully delayed for officer safety. I recall when you used to be able to call up police and fire runs on a "live" map they purposefully delayed the posts by 15+ minutes so police action couldnt be monitored in real time by perps.

And my understanding is both that and Citizen are after the fact info for Mrs Kravitzes of the world.
