Bidet made a statement about banning guns, now we have this to support their BS.
Does anyone believe this is any different than any of the other school shooting? They have gone younger, to get the shock factor
to advance their agenda with excessive support.

It's terrible for the families, and sad that it's elementary kids.
This s*** is going to continue, until these assholes in office get what they want.
    It is all by design.

Patiently waiting to see if they were "braced pistols"...

The only way to reduce casualties in incidents like this, is to have an Eli Dicken (or equivalent) on scene who can respond in a timely manner. Unfortunately, time often equals casualties in situations like this. So the real answer is for everyone to be free to be their own "first responder." That would provide the greatest probability of a timely resolution.

Multiplying GFZs obviously doesn't work. There's no magic wand to make guns disappear from existence. No declaration that will make violence go away.

AND, we need to remember, gun control REALLY isn't about incidents like this - it's about control.

Unfortunately, incidents like this are just used as plausible political cover by those willing to use emotion and the tragedy of others to advance their political agenda.

Just now seeing this (work nights & been sleep). Curious if any reports have indicated if the female shooter was an adult or juvenile?

I must have missed the others.

"Monday morning's shooting at the Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, is the 128th mass shooting in the US so far in 2023, according to data from the Gun Violence Archive.

The Gun Violence Archive, like CNN, defines a mass shooting as one in which at least four people are shot, excluding the shooter".

Shooter was 28 yo female per pop as reported by FNC
Rare. Would be, to my knowledge, the highest body count female spree shooter to date. Assuming they are, in fact, female. Would not be surprised if this was specifically targeted and with a blood relationship to the child victims.

Female perpetrators actually dying in shootouts with the police is also extremely rare.

Sadly I have a feeling this small private Christian school's defense plan was something along the lines of "we're good people, so that kind of thing doesn't happen to us".

What it will take to end this BS, is to eliminate GFZ's...period.

A proper person, law abiding gun owner, or whatever title needs applied, should be allowed to carry ANYWHERE.
When the criminal element understands there will be force to meet force, this BS will fade away. There will be far fewer incidents.
When the GFZ's are gone, and now there are people carrying everywhere, criminals are likely to think twice. Knowing there isn't something/someone to stop them, they attack the soft targets. Response time for these situations are ridiculous, not by fault of the responders, but simply because they can't be exactly where this BS happens and it takes time to relay, and travel.

If people were allowed to be on scene, prepared for these assholes, it will reduce, if not disappear.
