Morels 2022.

Seems like they’re starting late this year in central Indiana which I am SO grateful for because I’m finishing up college this week and wanna go so bad but have been busy writing and studying. I’ve written over 30 pages over the last two weeks.

I've been shown lots of smaller grays up here but if the weather weasels aren't lying, next week will be the week to be falling over them

Walked for an hour this evening. Two ticks and a doe that looked like she was in labor. No mushrooms.

With permission I walked my neighbors woods last night. Didn’t find any Morels but did come across some Oyster Mushrooms starting to peek out of some bark on a dead tree that I can’t identify… Not identifying trees probably contributed to me not finding Morels. Haha

Holy crap, those are huge!

As a recent transplant to Indiana, I need to find a way to go hunting for Morels. I LOVE mushrooms and ever since I heard of “hunting” for them, I’ve been intrigued. With the new job being so busy I’m not sure this year is the year, but next year…
