New to us house and finally had the time/weather to mow today. I had probably ten spread out in about 3 spaces. I mowed/stepped on half of them before I realized they were there.

I currently have them marked so the rabbits don't get them. Some are pretty small.

About 7 today south porter county. They were pretty small, so I left them.

Ran into a couple good 'ol boys down at the lake. No one catching any fish, but they were talking mushrooms. Then they drug some out of their truck...

As I was scrolling down to that bottom pic, at first I didn't see the hand that was holding the morels. It looked like they were laying on the ground in front of that guy's feet and I was like HOLY CRAP! Those are HUGE!!! :lmfao:

Owen County Sunday afternoon. Found these in the 1st half hour and last half hour of walking in the woods.

Saw a DNR officer drive past, headed down our road that is not navigable by everyday vehicles. DNR District 5 covers 8 counties, seeing a CO is unusual.

Found some on my property Saturday. Been here 8 years and never had any, now I do. New to this so I have to ask, do they grow in same area every year ??

Is the cooler ground temps going to prolong the mushroom season?

Can't help but notice the cool ground temps are slowing some garden production and the crappie spawn.

We've had a warm night or two lately, but the forecast I'm looking at for next week is mostly showing night temps in the 40's/low 50's.

Found only about 20 all weekend in Parke County. None in the usual spots. I think we are just a bit too early. There have not been enough warm nights. Hoping next weekend is better.
