Make sure to post in the comments section that the map should be used by burglars who want to avoid being shot, should avoid these homes. Also it might be a good idea to post in the comments section the names and addresses of the newspaper reporters and owners who do not own guns either. The comment will probably get pulled, but the readers will understand.

Maybe since so many have cancelled in recent years due to digital news, this is their last ditch publicity stunt.

You have a good point. I'm a pressman for a news paper company and subscriptions to news papers are way down because people can get it on the web and don't have to pay for it. Luckily we don't just print newspapers, and we had a record year do to the other jobs we do.

Yet another reason why I live in the great state of Indiana. :rockwoot:

I hope the editors of that rag have their addresses posted. What's good for the goose...

I think the media is evil. they have no right to release the names and addresses of people who legally have a right to carry pistols. But I do think it might cut down on crime in some areas where permit holders live. But still do not feel they have a right to do this.

Well they most definitely do have a right to publish public information. Whether they should morally is based upon opinion but I would say they sleep perfectly fine at night. The problem is that this information is public to begin with.

I doubt your criminals wake up in the morning and research who has a license to carry and who does not. I think the media does it to scare people who dont own guns. They just pull up a map and see thousands of red dots (guns).

All you have to do is pick one area and publish a list of all the Non gun owners and ask that bad guys be careful out there and rob these people first.

    Watch what happens next.

My Neighbors across the street stopped talking to me 18 months ago when they found out we had loaded guns in the house. They also told everyone they could. Not long ago they were gone and the house was robbed. I saw something different going on over there but since they did not tell me they had left town, I just chalked it up to a change in routine.

When they got back I asked them if they found it odd the bad guys probably knew them and avoided me, 2 more homes were robbed as well, in day light.

All they did was show the criminals where to go steal from when/if the ban comes into effect and they need to supply themselves. If those people don't have a gun safe I would go get one asap after that!

Does that not surprise anyone. The liberal-progressives in Bloomington are California wannabes.

The name of the editor of that rag is CynDee Royle. This person is not smart enough to spell her own name correctly, so the decision to publish gun owners names is not surprising. We are at a sad time in this country when the media has become nothing more than a platform for broadcasting socialist propaganda. Throughout history, those that subjugate a country start by controlling the media.

And you know damn well that as soon as SHTF those same neighbors would be kissing your ass like you were royalty begging for protection. Hypocrites.

As far as the list the newspaper put together, it's just their lame attempt to shame the permit owners. Personally, I would have no shame if our local paper tried that to me. I'd be pissed that they're targeting me and other law abiding citizens, but at the same time at least everyone knows where I would stand on 2A issues and if any criminals want to risk breaking in, they sure as hell better hope they make sure they do so when I'm not at home.

Looks like they're in a drunken stupor now trying to save the world. I'd like to see that map overlaid with green dots for felons and battery/assault misdemeanors. Call it "What you need to know about the criminal next door and the neighbor that might help against them if you let your totin neighbors keep their rights".

These guys' mindsets are juvenile at best. It's like they're fighting over their place in line in kindergarten. I wouldn't **** on fire to put em out.
