Mitch McConnell is not your friend if you are a defender of liberty. I have no problem with holding any politician accountable for their actions. This statement in the linked article tells me that McConnell is a friend of his own political power. That friendship comes before loyalty to the elected office holders in his party. The Constitution doesn't seem to be as important to McConnell as his residence in the swamp. He, like a number of politicians in both parties, is afraid of anyone who has an interest in limiting the size and scope of government. He fears or has great disdain for Donald Trump and the millions of people who empowered him to represent their interests. That fear appears to be so great that he must somehow render Donald Trump incapable of regaining the White House. Any citizen who runs for office and threatens the livelihood of the denizens of the swamp will face similar treatment. Term limits would be quite handy now.

McCuckel has a lot of warts and is a swamp creature through and through, but in his time, he put on the kneepads for Trump, which made him temporarily useful, and he was the closest thing the Republicans had to a "Lion of the Senate." The way he bulldozed Trump's court appointments through will still be owning the libs years after Trump is dead. (RIP Ruthie...should have quit when you were ahead).

All politicians are basically useless, but occasionally, under some circumstances, a stopped clock can sometimes be right. What voters on the Right did by making Trump President, was force that clock to stay stopped for 4 years while Mitch McConnell had his kneepads on. We got benefit from that.

That is why you vote for people like Trump. Not people like Bush. Never forget that.

As for the prosecutions, what did you expect? Do you think Mitch McConnell enjoyed tossing Trump's salad for 4 years? GOP, L.L.C. has to protect itself for the 2024 Primary. They have got to start blowing "Peloton Face Nikki Haley" up our azz as the "savior of conservatism." They can't have Trump getting in the way of that. So now, everyone in the GOP, L.L.C. establishment has to play-along with the Democrat fantasy of seeing Trump handcuffed to his deathbed.

I would like to see elected politicians at the federal level wearing body cameras every waking moment they are "working". As long as they are allowed to conduct their business behind closed doors things are never going to change.
