Time to require serial numbers on all knives and register them with the state. Every knife must also have micro-engravings so that the tool marks left behind can be traced the specific knife and file form XXXX stroke yy in triplicate with the state when it is purchased.

Politicizing a tragedy in is low regardless of which side of the debate we are on. Let's not join in their tactics.

We should be very cautious when even supposedly joking about legislating legalities of any tool that might be used for offense or defense. Seemingly silly words still matter. If we start blaming any tool, even humorously, it gives fuel to those who would regulate all tools.

16 is the age of the piece of flesh dress for the Trappuzano murder. 16 used to be a man. We have infantilized our children. We think they are less capable than they really are. The same factors that brought about this infantilization have brought about the other factors that contribute to young men making these choices. I don't see it as sad. I see it as the bed we have made.

This is right where all of my wife's family lives. I have a BIL who is a principal at a neighboring school district. It will be interesting to see their opinion of this in their own backyard.
