Thank you all, the coloring is growing on me also.

Hatin, I haven't got a chance to check it. Usually air quenching is pretty stable, plus green grinding will take some stress out of the material. Once I get it tempered I'll give it a check.

I can now officially call this build completed. Got it fully assembled and test fired yesterday. Ran a few mags through it with no issues..

Absolutely beautiful work. Did you engrave the caliber anywhere on the slide?

In the fourth photograph we see what looks like the billet for another slide. Do tell what is next.

No I didn't do any engraving on it, I thought about it but decided to keep it mark free.

It is the start of another, but that will be for another day..

Very nice! Did you end up putting a finish on the slide?

No I didn't, I decided to leave it as a bead blast finish.

Jump over to the Glock slide project this past weekend and took a break from the M2. The cutters I ordered finally came in and I was able to cut the rear sight dove tail and the two channels for the frame rails. Just a couple more cuts on the mill and it'll be ready for heat treat, then off to grinding and making it pretty.

mind sharing the part numbers of the cutters you used. Particularly interested in the carbide you used for the rail slide groove. Excellent work BTW
