I use my 15-22 for Steel Challenge, it's a blast. You will like this gun.

You might want to check out the 15-22 sub-forum at the Smith & Wesson forums:

Does your 15-22 have the M-Lok rail, if so you can use any m-lok accessories.

I have an angled foregrip, grip sleeve on the stock grip to make it a bit thicker, a plug in the grip (I keep a spare optic battery there), a pad on the butt to add a bit of length of pull, an ambidextrous charging handle, and ambidextrous safety on mine. This is the charging handle and safety I have:

    I added sights to mine:

    Front sight

    Rear sight

I see you already have the rifle, so congrats!!
I have the Colt M4-22 rifle and built a dedicated .22 pistol upper for my AR pistol.
Acknowledging that neither of mine are the M&P 15-22’s, the platform is the same, so I’m referring more to the rifle/pistol question.
I love them both. If I had to pick just one, for a great range toy, I’d prob go w the pistol. I really like the small size of it, and I have a suppressor that fits well on the 4.5” barrel under the 7” handguard.
I had the rifle for about 6 years before the pistol build and have thoroughly enjoyed it! It’s very accurate and runs great until it’s super dirty...
Maybe you’ll pick up a pistol sometime down the road. 68F15092-EC26-46AA-B745-B2B084912723.jpeg 152424EC-6D96-404C-84F5-200D49F22EC9.jpeg

Glad to hear you got one. Love my 15-22. I've got an inexpensive Primary Arms red dot on mine. Mine is the MOE edition. I have the picatinny rail and if I recall correctly (not home to check) use a Magpul AFG on mine and this sling mount on the front

Along with the QD mount built into the Magpul stock
