Ordered the LX150. No tours right now, the only local event Wood Mizer will be attending is in late August. According to the salesman, they will not be at the State Fair this year either. The salesman did not mention any training classes, maybe they will be available when the mill becomes available.

They will train you when you pick the mill up. Allocate a couple of extra hours.

Well I can tell you PVC prices are up 150% and cast/ductile fitting are up 50%.

What we have in the construction industry is the 2020 toilet paper shortage.

A couple of news blips, emails, and salesman saying there "may" be shortages due to the freeze in Texas and we had a domino effect.

Contractors under contract for jobs filled their entire orders in order to not lose money and also be able to finish their contract work without slowing the schedule and risking a customer.

Now instead of ordering materials 1 month out they are ordering materials they don't need for 6 months just to know they have it.....draining the normal supply and demand flow.

You will see prices go back down once crap balances back out.

Follow Kens Karpentry on Youtube, today he announced intention to lower his garage package prices due to the encouraging drop in price he's seen for plywood, 2X4X8 and OSB over the past several weeks. That was until there was no price drop this week amid talk of some mills shutting down due to the fires.

4x4x8's treated took a hit last night, now $8 again.....those were nearly $20. 2x4x8's now under $4. 7/16 OSB $33 a sheet at Menards after rebate...that stuff should be $12 a sheet max! Someone still banking on that gouge.

Those shingles kind of look like IKO's, with square sawtooth. You happen to know if they were IKO's? I have never seen IKO seconds......they are a Canadian shingle company.
Yes they are and they had a limited amount there.

Link to Fohl and Hoog roofing supplies.

There is no minimum amount you need to buy we just usually grab a pallet when we go up. Fix or repair roofs is a common thing for us with so many outbuildings.

OSB this week $23 down from $28 last week, hope it goes under $20 by next week. Oh, and by the way, shingles are starting to get back in stock but doubt they drop prices.
Not lumber, but what goes over it:
