I got to thinking about masking Tiger stripe over the quad rail and decided I don't want to do it. But I like your idea

I have a handgun that was painted a deep red and then covered with black. Then it was sanded through the black at the normal wear points. I still like the idea but the guy who did the work didn't really get the idea of normal wear points. I think it could be very interesting.

I like FDE but it can get overwhelming fast.
On a much simpler note than previous discussion...
I just did an AR with a BCM FDE hand guard, grip and stock and painted the upper, lower and barrel black with all the switches and buttons and dust cover FDE. Matched nicely, not like my FN's and like how it turned out.
You also don't really notice the color anyway because it goes bang when you pull the switch and goes bang when you let go, what a blast.

Yes, it is. Another one I think looks really good is Riptile. It seems pretty stencil intensive but unlike a lot of patterns, looks good with a variety of color schemes like this one, this one or this one too.

I just ordered a Galil Micro with Sniper Grey cerekote. It took me a long time to decide on a color and that is what I settled on. Should look good with the black furniture.

IMHO....I am not a fan of patterns on guns. Camo is OK somtimes. But leave the tiger/zebra stripes, kryptex patterns off.
