Ok guys haven’t posted in here for awhile. Need help decided on caliber. These are my short to mid range with bolt action preferred for my long range but I am considering either the .556, .224 Valkyrie, 6mm ARC or the 6.5 Grendal! What’s your thoughts? I’m really interested in the 6mm ARC but not much available in the brass dept! As of these left to right is my currently waiting a form1 stamp .300blk Spikes receivers Samson tube and Wilson Combat 11.3” barrel with a dead air break, next is my 5.56/.22 again Spikes receivers adams piston, Binary Trigger Samson tube and a Noveske 13.7 pinned and welded with a dead air break. Next is my Custom built by Allen Moore AK-47 with a 14.5” pinned and welded Crome lined barrel, FA Binary Trigger added adjustable gas piston law side folder and probably my favorite one to shoot.

I got the lever fever. After searching for quite some time in stores and online I lucked into one at Rural King. Henry Big Boy X model in .38 Special/.357 Magnum. So far I love it.

I recently got a Skinner sight for a Marlin .45. Starting to think about moving into this century and getting a red dot on it. My
    eyeballs are getting old. :oldwise:

This is what is the ultimate (for me) 10/22. No, it doesn't have all the latest wiz-bang high tech KIDD parts, but I think it will serve my needs. Just finished putting all the doo-dads on it. It's a TALO target model. I like the heavy(ish) barrel profile, and the old school wood stock. The Vortex Strike Eagle 4-24x50 has an illuminated reticule that extends usable hunting (tactical use) time into the dusk / dawn hrs. If it needs to go beyond that, I've added a Streamlight ProTac light. A bipod will add stability from the prone, and the tripod when I need to shoot from higher up. (or just want to be comfy slaying at night) The OSS RAD22 with subsonic rounds keeps me from being noticed too easily. (unless I use the light) It has the Volquartson kit on the inside making the trigger pull light and crisp. Oddly, the bolt release didn't work, and I ended up just grinding out the factory one. (go figure) Their extended bolt handle is used as well, and is very handy.

picked up a used ruger PC9 back n march. installed a TK chassis, comp, trigger and charging handle. topped it off with a cmore railway dot. shot a steel challenge match with it last weekend, gun ran flawlessly with federal and blazer 124gr factory ammo.

I inherited one of these a few years ago. Never shot it yet, need to go through it and clean it up. Are they worth anything?
How much you get it for from the pawn? Not that I'll ever sell it. I've read these are simple, accurate and rock solid.

I'm sure many here will tell me I overpaid - it was listed for $200, and I was only able to talk them down to $180 including tax.

A couple decades ago when I used to visit all the area pawn shops almost weekly, buying home stereo and PA gear, I knew how to read the code on the price tags that told how much they'd given for an item, but it looks like they've changed that code since those days. Even so, they probably didn't have much more than $50 in it...

Mine appears to be in pretty decent shape, but being as new to guns as I am I plan to have someone with way more knowledge look it over before I put any rounds thru it.

I didn't buy it for its possible value. I found it in the shops online database, and after doing a little bit of research (enough to get me in trouble, lol) I decided to go look at it.

Just from the info I found on the internet, I knew it was close to 90 years old, and figured at the very least would make for a nice antique conversation piece. If it still fires, even better.
