My beater Spikes / PSA Frankengun.

Spikes lower with PSA enhanced lpk, Magpul CTR stock and 16" PSA premium upper. CHF chrome lined FN barrel. It's basic but it runs well.

Having taken the scout scope off the Brazilian Mauser for the Mini 14 I had to decide what to do with the Mauser. Trying to lighten it up, the little .223 Vanguard has itself a new Leupold Mark AR 3-9 x 40 scope, and I ditched the bi-pod on it, so the old standby Nikon M-308 is now on it's 4th rifle, and the bi-pod came over with it.

New Leupold on the Weatherby. Bi-pod is on the Mauser now. It's much better suited to the larger gun. This is real light, and handy now. Needs a better sling, and some scope caps, and I'll be happy. And a can... Still want that suppressor one day.

Here's the Robinson Arms XCR-M I bought for their President's Day sale. It arrived the same week everything, especially ranges, started shutting down for covid. In the meantime it hasn't been shot yet and keeps getting doodads added to it.

Commie calibers! (Ok only technically one is a long gun).

Picked the Type 56 up yesterday, and spent about 3 hours cleaning and digging cosmoline out of all of the books and crannies. I still have the bolt soaking. Waiting on a better set of punches and a Murray's firing pin. The retainer is in there pretty solid...

Built this guy last year. Hopefully going to use it to reach out for some Coyotes and whistle pigs eventually. It's a 20" in .224 Valkyire.

Slightly out of date. I swapped the Hungarian M44 in pic two for a nice Series Eight Nagoya Type 99 rifle.
    Family_2020_1.jpg Family_2020_2.jpg

    Going down:

    1. 1944 Lithgow SMLE. My first rifle, but retired for regular shooting after I had to have the stock repaired following troubles with the recoil plates in the draws of the foreend.
    2. 1943 Smith-Corona M1903A3. I adore this rifle. It gets fed a steady diet of USGI surplus M2 Ball.
    3. 3 Million Springfield Armory M1 Garand. A well-used but excellent rifle purchased as a CMP Field Grade after I got back into surplus collecting. Slowly working my way through a healthy amount of clipped Lake City '69 M2 Ball.
    4. 1937 Tula Finn-capture M91/30. Stopped into a pawn shop in Lafayette on a whim about two years ago and snagged this for $200.00. The pawn shop man thought it was Japanese.
    5. 1933 Izhevsk M91/30. Snagged it as a cheap beater with a bunch of ammo. Any day I get to shoot this is a nice day.
    6. 1936 Tula M91/30 Spanish Civil War rifle. One of the rifles sold by the Soviets to the Spanish Republicans. I like this rifle, but I'd like it a lot more if someone hadn't refinished it. On the lookout for a more representative example.
    7. 1905 Carl Gustaf M96 Mauser. I adore this rifle. Sometimes it's fun to just burn through surplus cupped-projectile gallery ammo.
    8. 1951 MAS 36. It's a shame that people have caught on to how nice these rifles are in recent months. It's a blast to shoot, and like the Swede before it, I would unhesitatingly buy a few more.
    9. 1942 VKT M39. Got a screaming deal on this rifle from a neighbor. One of my favorites for sure.
    10. 21st Series Kokura Type 99. Got this one along with a bayonet at auction. Unfortunately duffle-cut, but that's just part of the rifle's story.
    11. 1952 Hungarian M44. Swapped it for an 8th Series Nagoya Type 99 with a guy my age from Fort Wayne in late May. Ended up making a friend out of that deal.
    12. 1931 Tikka M27. An impulse/grief purchase. Probably one of my worst-condition rifles, but the price was right, especially considering it has an early stock and retains the winged bolt connector.
    13. 32nd Series Toyo Kogyo Type 99. Another auction pick-up. The mum has been struck with a chisel, but not ground off entirely. Everyone else either passed it over because it was Japanese, or because of the mum.
    14. 1909 Argentine Mauser. Yet another auction purchase. This rifle has made me love South American export Mausers.

    Miscellaneous:
Posted my AR in the AR show-and-tell thread, so here are the three that I don't have in the picture.

    1. 1920 Czech-issued Steyr M.95 carbine. This is a true carbine, not an M.95/30 cut down from a long rifle. It was sold to Bulgarian and converted to 8x56R.
    2. The fore-mentioned 8th Series Nagoya Type 99. It has a bolt from a 7th Series, with the grooved safety knob.
    3. 1917 Terni M91 Carcano. I'm not super-thrilled with this rifle, but I got it for a fair price. A friend from another forum wants to do a trade for it plus some ammo for his '42 VKT M91 Mosin-Nagant, which I would much rather have.

Remington Model 16 from my grandpa. Anyone have any leads on ammo? If you're not familiar with the model it take .22 Remington Automatic. It's different from standard .22 long rifle. I've never found any and therefore have never got to shoot it.
