So tell me, those guys were police, yes? Why are the police in Portland expected to not use lethal force unless absolutely necessary, but the capitol 'police' can do so with impunity?

Why have they still never officially released the name of the trigger man, but the officer behind the Ma'Khia Bryant shoot was named in less than a day? If you can't see the purpose here is to normalize the killing of so-called 'right wing extremists', to normalize the idea that somehow a congress member's 'safety' is more important than a patriotic veterans life, to normalize the idea that unequal before the law is the desired outcome, then I certainly don't know what to tell you

Are we even allowed to say Ciaramella yet?
The bottom line is that I don't see the alternative to this leading to general armed disorder. These fools are simultaneously allowing leftist thugs to do WTF-ever they like while kicking most everyone right of Mao in the nuts simultaneously. This has never worked long.

Would it be more justifiable if more people were shot? :dunno:

    That's not how that works.

    Yes, flatly.

If you deserve the death penalty for entering the capitol, shots should have been fired upon breaching the doors.
Deciding that one hallway is now death sentence worthy is not acceptable, after sacrificing that much ground.

Hmm. I have a safe room. If my family is in it I am willing to sacrifice that much ground.

Fairly sure that hallway lead to the evacuating members of congress.

Every other thread: "Stop breaking the law, its that easy."
This thread: "I find zero reason for why a person should be shot when they are in a mob, breaking into a government building, attacking police, all with the vice president, and members of congress inside"

Its the element of exasperation with having two different sets of law. If they really want anarchy, there are some of us who would be willing to show them how its done.

They’re just mad because the “wrong” people got a Darwin. If was the “right” people they’d be on their “stupid games, stupid prizes” mantra. The fact that is chick got Yahtzee, is difficult for them to comprehend.

Whats so funny about this horse ****?
The right has been “willing,” to do..... nothing. They’ve talked the game, but don’t do nada (DN for emphasis). Look at it rationally. They believe a non-citizen was elected president, the election was stolen, GOV.com is targeting conservative groups, thousands of children being killed, the leftists rioting unopposed in the streets, police unjustifiably being sent to jail, schools teaching liberal thought, sending money to enemies so they can create weapons to distort us, Socialism gaining traction.... and what do they do to combat this “America is lost,” mantra? ....complain on the internet. The left has proven itself FAR more willing to take up issues, and put their money where there mouth is. I’m not saying I agree with what they do, but comparatively, while they do their work, the right just says “just wait until....” Rinse repeat.

Essentially, it a never ending retraction of red lines.

Probably something along the lines of “Welp, I guess I was wrong about that.”
But honestly, I don’t think it will ever happen. I think you underestimate the willingness of people to kick the can down the road, hoping someone else picks it up.

There are those here who have limitations on doing the right thing when sitting on a jury. They plainly said so. When you aren't willing to risk doing the right thing, it's gonna be hard to win against people who are willing to do a lot of wrong things.
