This is so backwards. You would think they would be trying to add themselves to LEOSA, not take away their own ability to have a weapon
They don't want to get shot by someone from the other party.
Having the detector at the entrance shows that the major threat comes from people inside that room.

Of course if nobody is armed inside they can't defend themselves when an armed crowd shows up from the outside.
    Like we saw last week.

I guess they decided it's most likely they would get harmed by a fellow congress person.

This isn’t sustainable for more than a couple days. These soldiers don’t have enough stuff to stay very long.

I see at least two styles of vests so it could be a supply issue that has led to these quarters. More likely a move will be made today.

Edit: sources say not they are deploying 20k soldiers to the capital by next week. This is nuts.

Just as suspected. They are handing out non zeroed rifles. They all have red dots and in my own experience we’re not stored on top of the rifles. This will be a unmitigated disaster if something were to go down.

I see there is plenty of room to just walk around the thing.
There is report that a congressman did that, and refused to get stopped by the police.
Not sure if they allowed him to enter the chamber to vote.

The congress woman from Colorado (the one who said she would carry her Glock around DC) apparently refused to have her bag inspected by the police.

So who all is on the FBI's Most Wanted List?
    1. Everyone that visited DC that day?
    2. Anyone at the Trump speech?
    3. Anyone who put a foot on the Capital steps/grounds that may have been barricaded at one time?
    4. Anyone that entered the actual building?
    5. Anyone that stole, damaged, or assaulted an officer?

I am definitely behind consequences for group No. 5 with harsh penalties for assaulting officers.

Not so sure about No. 4 as many of those actually inside the building looked peaceful even though they likely knew they really shouldn't be there. And No. 3 seemed like a pretty fluid line in the sand and unless you were in the front row you may not have known where that line used to be.
