    I have seen the edit and reply features do weird things. On a couple of occasions I've started a post and then left before hitting post and then later it joins it with another post. I suppose anything's possible.
    Within the same forum I can believe. I've never seen it jump from one forum to another though.

    I have seen the edit and reply features do weird things. On a couple of occasions I've started a post and then left before hitting post and then later it joins it with another post. I suppose anything's possible.
    If you have started a post but abandoned it, it will get saved as a draft and then will get posted next time you submit a post. You can go up to the right corner and click the little floppy disk icon and then select "delete draft" and whatever is saved will go away.
