That reminds me of a gun store owner I know who bought that ultra light S & W 357 Magnum snub nose (can't remember the model number). He got rid of it immediately because he said hi REALLY hurt to shoot it. lol

I bought it because I was trying to get every 10mm revolver that Smith and Wesson made. I have all but one. The last one is proving difficult to find and afford. It's a special run for Lew Horton, less than 300 made. So I've given up on it.

Here's my ten 10mm's. None of them have ever jammed and no sights have fallen off.
My favorite would be hard to narrow down, i guess it would just depend on what i wanted to do. Least favorite? That's easy, the 310 Nightguard (bottom left) View attachment 213897 . It hurts like a mofo when you shoot it.

Yes. I sent it to AllenM to let him ceracoat it and work his magic. The other 1911 is a custom built by Allen as well.

Seems like a lifetime ago, but I used to have an Interarms 2-shot derringer chambered in .38spl.
Every single time you pulled the trigger it felt like someone smacked your palm with a hammer.
One of the most uncomfortable shooting firearms I've ever owned.
Couldn't get rid of that thing fast enough.

200gr Hornady XTP or 200gr WFNGC hard cast. I reload those. IIRC Underwood sales 200gr XTP, and 200gr WFNGC can be bought from Grizzly ammunition.

Anything with a Barnes bullet in the 140-155 grain range. I load my own but Barnes, Buffalo Bore, and I believe Federal all offer loads with these bullets.

I think the Federal fusion ammunition for 10mm has a pretty decent velocity. I just can't find any to test.

I don't know about the Fusion handgun bullets but the Fusion rifle bullets have a reputation for being a bit soft compared to other bonded bullets. At handgun velocities it should be less of a problem, maybe even a benefit and it would almost have to be tougher than an XTP.

I've been wanting a Sig XTen ever since they were announced and had a chance to hold one last weekend. I instantly did not care for it. It just felt needlessly large to me in the same way my G20s did. I'll stick with the 1911 and M&P platforms for 10mm fun I guess.

I was under the impression the hard cast wasn’t a good choice for hunting. Due to lack of expansion ? I found 220 hard cast

I've not had any problems with them. They don't deflect when hitting a bone it just drives right through. Beware what is behind the animal you shoot with them. They will go through a deer or similar game animals.

Well, that would make life easier for me because this is meant to be a hunting gun and a bear defense. So that being said to buy one round that does both is ideal since I am getting a red dot don’t have to worry about switching poi
